Settings
Settings is where you control how you're notified and how the app looks. It's separate from Profile, which holds your personal details.
Accessing Settings
Click "Settings" in the sidebar navigation.
How You Get Notified
Three switches control the channels your school can reach you on:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Receive notifications by email | |
| SMS | Receive notifications by SMS |
| Push notifications | On this device, when the app is in the background |
What You Get Notified About
Five switches control which kinds of updates you get at all:
| Setting | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Grade alerts | When new grades are posted |
| Attendance alerts | When attendance is marked or there's an issue |
| Fee reminders | When fees are due or overdue |
| School events | Announcements and upcoming events |
| New messages | When a teacher or admin messages you |
Display
Three more switches change how the app looks and feels:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Dark mode | Easier on the eyes in low light |
| Compact view | Tighter spacing to fit more on screen |
| Reduce motion | Minimises animations and confetti |
Account
Click "Change password" to open the same password-change form found on Profile — enter your current password, then your new one twice.
Saving
Click "Save settings" at the bottom of the page — your changes are saved across all your devices. "Reset to defaults" puts every switch back to how it started.
TIP
Don't turn off grade, attendance or fee alerts — they're the ones most likely to affect you if you miss them. See Notifications for what each alert looks like once it arrives.
